Hello, World — with Context
Your monthly signal on the tech, tools, and people teaching AI to remember.
Welcome to insights into AI Memory, a monthly dive into how machines remember, and why that matters. In this first post we’ll share why we are launching, what you’ll find here every month, and how you can shape the conversation. Along the way you’ll get a taste of the Memory Digest section that will headline each issue. Grab a coffee, smash the Subscribe button below, and let’s boot up.
1. Why this, why now
We’ve spent the last years building memory for AI apps and agents, writing about it and moderating fast-growing communities on Discord and Reddit where questions on “persistent context,” “episodic recall,” and “vector vs. graph stores” pop up daily. The field just crossed a tipping point: leading labs are shipping memory-enhanced LLMs (OpenAI’s new o3 memory layer, Claude 4’s persistent files, Meta’s 10 M-token Llama 4 context) while open-source projects such as Mem0, Zep, and cognee give builders lego-bricks to roll their own.
Yet most coverage is scattered across arXiv, Discords, and obscure GitHub READMEs. This newsletter exists to stitch those threads together, keep you current in <10 minutes, and spark discussion about where we want memory-centric AI to go.
2. What to expect each month
Expect one issue on the first Monday of every month. Everything you’re reading right now is free.
